Yesterday my dad called me about a cat food recall, so when I got home I looked it up online. The name of the company didn't mean anything to me, but when I went to their website, I found a list of the brands that they handle, and I was pretty surprised. So today (Monday), my baby is in the hospital :( My baby being Lucifer, of course. He has a likely partial urinary blockage, which is apparently not unusual for male cats. Well, this might be the least stressful holiday season we've ever had! We've had time to visit various family parties (two more to go, one on Saturday and one in Portland on Christmas Eve), we have some $$ for shopping, and I've only had 1 shift of retail work! Hurray for me ( Read more... )

I went to jury duty yesterday, saved from a 5:30 AM bus by jkyllo's generous offer of a ride. I got to the Kent Regional Justice Center at 8, as required, and we didn't have to leave until 7 to get there! It is remarkably dark today. I have had to turn on lights to read! Feeling very fuzzy today, no doubt a combination of going to sleep too late and the darkness.
