Dark day
It is remarkably dark today. I have had to turn on lights to read! Feeling very fuzzy today, no doubt a combination of going to sleep too late and the darkness. Also, it's earlier than I've gotten up in quite a few days :) I probably should make my tea and toast soon, I've been reading food blogs this morning so I'm getting hungry!
I have to talk about the awesome cat toy we bought the other day at Mud Bay! It has the unfortunate name of "Da Bird," and is a variation on the pole-string-bouncy-feather-thing theme. The cool thing is that it has a couple of large feathers on it that make it spin around when you swish it in the air, and it really sounds like a bird! It's on a fishing swivel too, so it makes a very satisfying zooming motion and noise, and the cat ADORES it. He has already bitten off the two big feathers, but still chases it. He actually sits by in and meows at us to play with him! When he catches it, he picks it up in his mouth and carries it (with whoever is holding the stick following faithfully behind :)) over to his food dish. I love it. Happily, you can buy replacement pieces for it. I'm hoping this will encourage a little more physical activity :)
