So, classes started up again today.  What better way to avoid reading my textbooks than by doing an end of the year survey?  There is no better way.  This is the way, people.  Anyways, I've been longing to steal this from girlinacardigan, and she's being nice and condoning my thievery, so...2008!  And yeah, this is a few days late, but let's just let it slide, k ( Read more... )

Oh, I love when people fill this out; it's always fun to get to know people this way. Congratulations on the license! And hey, I took a left turn from the wrong lane on my driving test. On first *two* road tests, actually, because I didn't realize I'd done it the first time, and the second time I realized a split second beforehand but kept going because I thought it just meant points off, as opposed to Instant Fail.

That's really kind of a jackass thing to make you walk back, though. It's not like your permit was revoked for that mistake...or if he felt mortally afraid for his life (hah), couldn't he at least have let you ride?

Thanks! I was so excited when I finally did get my license. The picture turned out to be horrendous, but oh well. I just hide it behind my other id card, which is much more normal looking.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one to get an instant fail on that stupid test. Not that I wanted you to fail, but you know, I'm glad I've got company.

OMG I just spit my diet coke all over my bills I was doing.......

36. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:

Don’t sleep with the dead guys. Even if you used to be engaged to them for the whole of an afternoon.

Ha Ha I can't stop laughing..........

You know the friend thing. My best friend now of nine years thought I was the biggest bitch. Now we're the best of friends. So ironic how that happens....

Thanks for sharing a little more into your life!!

Hee. I'm glad it made you laugh. Steer clear of the dead ones. It'd my new relationship motto. :D

And yeah, the friend thing. It's crazy how that works sometimes! But it's such a nice surprise to realize oh, you really aren't a bitch after all.

Ooo, license-getting horror stories!

I failed my first driving exam after driving over a curb in the parking lot on the way onto the road to take the test.

It wasn't a get-out-of-the-car fail, because she let me take the rest of the exam, but it wasn't good. :)

Congrats on yours, btw.

. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?

Ooh, let’s see. Spent a month traveling around England. I will never not find British accents delicious. They do lovely things to my mind. Also, I was very, very impressed by the stylishness of everyone over there. Maybe it’s a side effect of living in the Midwest, where jeans and sweaters and sweatpants seem to be the norm, but damn if there weren’t a lot of cute boys in cute blazers walking around London. Sometimes fancily adorned with scarves as well.

Ooh, England! One of the many places I'd love to go. That and Greece (it's a major part of my herritage). Although I'd have to wonder how wheelchair accessable both places are...

. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?

Umm…fandom-wise, I would like to have more naked MerDer on my TV screen, k?Now that's DEFINATELY something I'd like to see more of! That's on my imaginary wishes list for 2009 and I so hope it comes true. I'd be one happy fangirl ( ... )

Hmm...I honestly don't read as much as I should. I usually spend my free time writing. I suppose I do read a bit more fanfic than actual books though. Sadly, I don't think fanfics can be called books because they're more of a fan thing, which is too bad because it'd be nice to say I've written a book. Oh well. Maybe someday ( ... )

Hee. I'm very glad I'm not the only one with a license horror story. I swear that test does things to people to make them incompetent. Normally, I'd never run a red light, but as soon as the test started, there I went.

And thanks. I was ridiculously happy when I passed. :D

and she will, and she will comment on it because she caught a glimpse of a mention of the election and OMG yay Obama best thing in life EVER!, but she first has to react to the fact that she just now realized where your LJ quotes are from. What up, Rilo Kiley! I about killed my iPod with that CD on repeat last fall. She so channels Meredith. Classic line: I say there's trouble when everything is fine / The need to destroy things creeps up on me every time. Hello, dark and twisty.

Oh my goodness, yes. So much love for Rilo Kiley. She absolutely channels Mer. Like all the freaking time. As far as I'm concerned, A Better Son/Daughter is pretty much the personal anthem of Meredith Grey.

Also: OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!! He makes me giddy. :D

omg you have a thing for J Crew too? I was just there yesterday. Bought myself the new navy blue belted trench coat. I'm kind of in love. Navy is my absolute FAVORITE color to wear. I'm fond of pink because it's all cute and girly but really, I prefer to wear navy, black, and charcoal. But don't worry! Though those three colors make up a significant portion of my wardrobe, I wear other colors too ( ... )

Oh yes. I love, love, love J. Crew. They have the cutest things. And yay for your new trench!! Navy is such a lovely color. I have a navy pea coat that I'm so very much in love with.

I haven't shopped at Lacoste at all, but I know the gator you speak of. And it is very, very cute.

I'll try not to feel guilty about my horrible abuse of proper grammar. Hee. It does add character! But yeah, I write like this because it's how I think things inside my head. Apparently I think in incomplete sentences. Like all the freaking time. I can't help it. And I completely understand the all lower case thing. Actually, sometimes I think it looks really adorable and teensy. I do not know why...

And thank you for the song rec! I love it when people rec my music. I just listened to it, and it's very, very lovely! Thanks! :)

Hey! I just watched all of the Grey's sneak peeks for Thursday's epi and I'm pretty pumped. Denny was in one (gag me) but Alex was being adorably funny/huggable. My point is though there seems to be a new blonde doctor talkin with Bailey. I'm not sure yet how I feel about this...but this new Blondie is just so Pretty! And, I'm not sure if you watch Bones at all, but she's on there sometimes and she makes me laugh. So, I complain a LOT about the ever-expanding cast but I think I'm willing to make this one and only exception. So long as A) Denny goes Far, FAR Away B) Sadie either dies or goes back to Europe and takes her funny accent with her and C) Lexie becomes a wall-flower again and the rest of the pyscho-interns return to the backdrop as props ( ... )

Yay for sneak peeks! Seeing Denny made me angry, but Alex was wonderful as always. I'm not sure how I feel about the new blondie doctor. She is definitely very, very pretty though, and I can be very superficial about my TV characters, so that may be enough for me to like her. I'll have to wait and see. She was a little too perky in that clip, but maybe she'll be more normal during the eppy. Although yeah...we definitely do not need more characters. But, if all your A, B and C requirements are met (And Dixon...ooh that works as a D because of her name, as much as it pains me to say it because I adore MMcD, she needs to go too). If all that happens, there might be room for Dr. McPretty ( ... )
