Holidays = a chance to go all out! Here's the cake we made for the final class of my second cake decorating class. We learned how to make all the flowers (some more successful than others) and the birds in previous classes and then used them to decorate the cake. i still fail at roses - they all turn out looking like cabbages. =P

I made these cupcakes for ameena_acidz "bachelor/bachelorette" party last weekend. I wanted to make something with leaves and autumn colors to match her wedding theme. yesterday was my last cake decorating class. we learned how to make roses, which was pretty fun, but i think my roses turned out looking more like cabbages...or carnations...or carnation cabbages. we were supposed to make the roses with stiff icing, though once you know how to do them you would use softer icing. my icing was pretty stiff, which is ( Read more... )
