last decorating class - flowers of some sort

yesterday was my last cake decorating class. we learned how to make roses, which was pretty fun, but i think my roses turned out looking more like cabbages...or carnations...or carnation cabbages. we were supposed to make the roses with stiff icing, though once you know how to do them you would use softer icing. my icing was pretty stiff, which is why the edges cracked. next time i'll try using softer icing and maybe they'll turn out like roses. my hand about died making them, but they're still kind of pretty ^_^

i was so tired by the end of the class when we were supposed to decorate our cake that my creativity was ded. so it's plain (and a bit crooked), but here's my last cake:
