I found this recipe on Martha Stewart. In the past, I've always been really pleased w/ her recipes, this time though, I think it fell a little flat. I think that, since I've got the other half of the can of purée to use up, I'll try it again, but as mini muffins instead. I might actually opt for the drizzle too.

The instructions below specify the use of an electric mixer. We do not own one & managed just fine, but if you can, I'd suggest using one as it makes things just that much simpler/quicker. It also suggests using two 2L (8") springform pans. I don't own them either, so I trimmed some parchment paper to size & popped the whole thing in to my one 9" ( Read more... )

This first dish sounds really easy to prepare & if you want to leave it to marinate overnight, refrigerate it for up to eight hours & skip the 1 hour @ room temp thing...
As for the pie, I've been told that there's no point in trying to freeze it or anything, since it just doesn't work. Instead, throw a party or give the other one away...
