We got acall from the ER doctor. It's official. Hubby has a broken toe.

Hubby came limping home around noon. He broke his toe at work. Or possibly not. The radiologist will have to give the final word on that. It really doesn't matter too much. Had a horrible headache about an hour ago. It's eased up now, but I feel a tad queasy in the stomach. But only a tad. Probably not enough to do any real damage. Hope not anyway. Planning to spend the day in Williamsburg tomorrow.

#1 I don't think I've updated on this. Not too long ago hubby saw the surgeon who did his carpal release procedure for the standard follow-up. A-okay from the surgeon's viewpoint (healing, etc.). From hubby's viewpoint, too, as the surgery seems to have done the trick in eliminating the pain he had been experiencing. Yay ( Read more... )

The other day I dropped a can of pork and beans on my foot. It hurt. Quite a lot. But then I kind of forgot about it until I discovered scabbing near my little toe. Hubby's surgery went well. His wrist is well wrapped and splinted. His main "jobs" now are to rest and to keep that arm elevated. He's been supplied with various medicines, including an anti-nausea drug he doesn't think he's going to need. He'll go back in ten days to get the stitches out and to get the doctor's evaluation of how well he's

Taking hubby to get wrist surgery (left hand) tomorrow. He's been plagued with carpal tunnel syndrome, and much pain, for some time now. I expect the surgery (out patient) to go well enough. My regular eye doctor's been telling me for a while that I have a cloudy cornea. Now I know why. I saw a cornea specialist today, and she said it's Fuch's Dystrophy. She also explained better than I could even attempt to, but it seems to involve either not enough or too quickly lost cells in the cornea that normally drain off water. Because ( Read more... )
