Took Friday off work and went to the farm. Messed around at the house Friday because of the rain. Saturday I took GFWTR and Abby for a Ranger ride around the farm. GFWTR took me and Abby's picture in front of the largest tree on the farm.

GFWTR, Abby and I went for a nice bike ride, about 5.7 miles. I knew Abby was comfortable in her trailer when she started taking off her shoes tonight we hit a new level of comfort with the bike trailer.

I picked up a 2002 Trek ladies mountain bike for GFWTR yesterday for $85. It's in excellent condition with limited miles on it. The neighbor across the street probably sells 100 or more bikes a summer. I have been watching for the last few weeks in hops of getting GFWTR a bike ( Read more... )

Didn't get to ride last weekend or last week at all. Abby was at Nana's last night so this morning I did a solo ride. I rode to Chardon and back again, 24.1 miles round trip, averaging 13.7 mph, with an elevation change of ~580 ft and a max speed of 42.4mph. It was beautiful weather for the ride. Abby and I did 14.5 miles tonight and averaged ~10mph for the trip. Its pretty funny having nursery rhymes sung by a toddler coming out of a bike trailer as we are zooming down the trail passing people walking their dogs or just going for a walk.

So I dug out my old Cannondale mountain bike. I have not been on a bike since the summer I was ridding to get ready for the Elk hunting trip, Oct 2004. It got a good check over.
