So on my way home from work tonight I stopped and bought out the local Gander Mountain of all there Winchester 28ga shotgun ammunition, all six boxes. We had some friend over tonight. We:

-Cooked dogs and burgers on the grill
-drank beer
-watched the kids play
-took the kids up the street to watch the county fair parade
-returned home for desert
-watched kids play more
-said goodbye to everyone
-put a very tire and wound up Abby to bed
-cleaned up mess (mostly).

Abby and I did 14.5 miles tonight and averaged ~10mph for the trip. Its pretty funny having nursery rhymes sung by a toddler coming out of a bike trailer as we are zooming down the trail passing people walking their dogs or just going for a walk.

So this is Bunny. That's his name just ask Abby. (all other bunnies are named Other-bunny)

My father's idea of a Christmas present this year was an anvil for my brother and I. Well, I finally got around to making a solid base for it. A good anvil needs a good base for it to be useful. I had some left over 4x4 scrap ends from the new fence construction and some old 4x4 posts from some repairs last summer to the older sections of fence ( Read more... )

So last night after getting ready for bed I stuck my head into Abby's room to check on her and found her buck naked curled up with her stuff rabbit and deer. It was very funny, except that she had peed her bed. So I gently put her diaper back on her, let GFWTR rocked her quietly in the rocking chair and redressed her while I changed her bed.

I am presently reading Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. Last night I came across this gem and wanted to share.

When they get closer to the overpass, it becomes a lost cause trying to drive at all, the thrashers are so thick and numerous. It's like putting on crampons and trying to walk through a room full of puppies.
