Took Friday off work and went to the farm. Messed around at the house Friday because of the rain. Saturday I took GFWTR and Abby for a Ranger ride around the farm. GFWTR took me and Abby's picture in front of the largest tree on the farm.

So I posted in this earlier entry about how bad Firefox was on my home 64-bit Vista machine and that I was switching to Chrome. Well Chrome is still running good on my 64-bit Vista machine and my 32-bit XP netbook. But at work on my 64-bit XP workstation Chrome is pretty bad. It constantly corrupts downloads. So last weekend GFWTR and I got away for the weekend. Abby spent the weekend with Papa and Grandma and we went to Southern Ohio for a weekend away. Drove down Friday. We went and did zip-lines in the morning. That was pretty cool, the ending was the best with a zip line that was nearly a quarter of a mile long and we reached speed of 50-55mph ( Read more... )

So I borrowed a friend's Open gun at this past weekend's USPSA match. It was a very nice SVI IMM Open gun (link to image on SVI website of gun very similar to the one I borrowed). So I dug out my old Cannondale mountain bike. I have not been on a bike since the summer I was ridding to get ready for the Elk hunting trip, Oct 2004. It got a good check over. Being a family-man and a working-stiff has rendered my daily carry bag to nothing, at least nothing terribly useful. I miss camping and college were you lived out of your pack. Now-a-days I can go several days and never touch the contents of my work bag.
