Bitter Homecoming is a future set AU that has somehow managed to spiral out into 21 parts (and with more coming), and I felt like inflicting it on you all sharing it with you all. Ignoring the prequels (the first set of which actually started life as a separate series), our story opens with Billy and Teddy, now Emperor and Consort of the Skrull Empire, returning to Earth in the wake of yet another war between Earth's super-heroes, with a plan to unite the planet and it's people one way or another: It's invasion time.
