Nate is still marginally sick. We did go to the dr. today, who said he wasn't particularly sick - I was worried about ears, especially. No cause, apparently. So he's just down to a cough and a bit of tiredness. The doc was unconcerned about his not eating - pretty common in the under-10 set to stop eating entirely when they're sick, especially ( Read more... )

First woodstove fire of the season got lit last night. It was so toasty warm in our house! It was even easy to go out and walk the dog this morning, knowing that I'd be coming back to a nice warm fire ( Read more... )

Good University, good class-teaching, fun ride up and back with nice company. This was not as giggly a trip as I had to the last one with Jehanette and kat_romanish  and syaldia, but it was good.  Sorry about the smoky restaurant - I wish we had moved out to the front part.  I wish we had been able to stick with the rest of the crew, but I wanted to go back the way ( Read more... )
