Reese & Sleep are amazing when it comes to helping us with the outdoor work! They cleaned up the tree debris from the edges of the driveway (which gets put into the chicken enclosure) thus saving my back from the shoveling, and then trimmed back the heather by the garage, and THEN they cleared back the blackberries and weeds from our eastern line ( Read more... )

Today, I had enough of a remission that I could actually go OUT and DO something! (I've had many good or okay days in the last week or so now.) We elected to go to Port Townsend, which I prefer to call "Victoriana" for it's personality and many Victorian houses and other buildings. Today I took a "snow day" to keep a fire going and keep cozy as inches of snow fell. We had 3 systems come in, one after another over 4 days (the last tonight into tomorrow) leaving about 7 inches of snow on everywhere-- with more on the ground where the wind drifted it ( Read more... )

Cases are up by 210+ this last week, and deaths are up by 7. Both numbers are down from the previous 2 weeks which averaged 250 or so cases per week and 10 deaths per week. Obviously, it's not down by much, but Kitsap is trying to get to Phase 2 in order to lift more restrictions here ( Read more... )

I haven't been online for a day and a half due to a power outage. At one point, more than 300,000 people in the Seattle area lost power. So... I have plenty to do when such an event hits, but Cat was thrown off her game and had to take a day off work because she had no way to do it without power.
