I had an interview yesterday at Office Depot.  It started out as an hour long group interview, and then individual interviews and everyone had to wait around for their turn.  But none of this was explained to us when the Manager set up the interview.

I am 25 years old...and have worked at 3.5 different places in my life...two restaurants (as a dishwasher) and at two different Hallmarks, plus one summer at the Newaygo County Historical Museum (woot).  My last "real" job I think was 3 years ago.  No one is going to hire me because I have zero experience in the real world.  I mean, here I'm over ( Read more... )

When I was in college, I used to post on my old blog from the computer lab in the chemistry building.  It was on the second floor.  I always like the second floor b/c it was so stark...it really did look like chemistry was going on there.  I would sit in a small room of strangers and worry a little that I was out of place and shouldn't be there.  ( Read more... )

Today I applied for my first real job.  Why I want it:

1.  It will use both my geology and broadcasting and cinematic arts skills I learned.  (I knew it could be done!)

2.  It is a term job meaning only for 13 months to 4 years.  I don't' want to start no long term career now.
