I have writers block again...it's just not coming out right.  So far I have cited Calvin in personal communication...that looks like this (Miller, personal communication).  But can I really do that?  Can I really quote my advisor in my thesis? When I was in college, I used to post on my old blog from the computer lab in the chemistry building.  It was on the second floor.  I always like the second floor b/c it was so stark...it really did look like chemistry was going on there.  I would sit in a small room of strangers and worry a little that I was out of place and shouldn't be there.  ( Read more... )

I finally finished the problem set today!  Oh my goodness, it was hard.  I don't know why though, once I got done, I was like...oh, that's pretty simple.  I think the biggest problem was that I was paying attention to significant figures, like what Calvin told us to do in class.  Turns out I really needed to extend the numbers a lot, not round them ( Read more... )
