When I was in college, I used to post on my old blog from the computer lab in the chemistry building. It was on the second floor. I always like the second floor b/c it was so stark...it really did look like chemistry was going on there. I would sit in a small room of strangers and worry a little that I was out of place and shouldn't be there. But I didn't care enough not to go. It was nice to be somewhere different, where no one I knew went.
That year I also would meet Josh inbetween our classes in the cross walk in between Brookes and Dow. It was always worrysome because sometimes Josh would forget to go to class and not show up. Then I would be angry. Or he wouldn't go to class, but get there on time to meet me. I should have known then. Okay I did, I just chose not to care that the guy I liked didn't put school as high a priority as I did. I probably needed that anyways.
It's so odd to reflect on the computer lab b/c I remember it like it is my life now, not a part of my life that is over.
Josh and I grilled hotdogs yesterday and they were delicious! He also bought a 3 liter bottle of Orange Soda, Best Choice brand for 99 cents. He really wanted it mostly b/c it was 3 liters. I mostly didn't want it b/c it was 3 liters of sugar water that tastes bad. Josh is going to have to drink 3 liters of orange soda alone. I would have been happy for a 2 liter of Dr. P...but that wasn't 99 cents, and Josh refuses to buy 2 liters unless they are 99 cents.
I learned a cheap bar trick yesterday that when you do it right, really does make you look like you are levitating. I showed it to Calvin....he was not impressed. Not impressed at all. And maybe a little confused as to why I was doing that and not working. But trust me, it's sweet.
He rewrote (well mostly rewrote, I had a few good words in there, like My name is Lindy Colombini and Hello) my networking letter that I am going to send out to people. I thought the one I wrote was pretty good, great actually, and not that bad. Nope...Calvin showed me how it is SUPPOSE to look like, and now this letter is amazing. I don't even know how he knows to write one...having this one job for a million years or so...but he does. I should send him my cover letter next...people'll be hiring me just on that! Oh, he did change how I signed my name, he says I should do it Lindy Straathof Colombini, I think I fell asleep just reading that it's so long. My biggest mistake was marrying a guy who's last name wasn't Jones, Smith, or Hill. What I would give....
