The Senate rejected the Udall amendment which would have stripped the detainee provisions entirely as well as an amendment proposed by Sen. There's a bill in the Senate that would authorize the military to arrest and detain any civilian, anywhere in the world, indefinitely without charges. That includes American citizens on American soil.

I have a sex assault case. The maximum for sex assault 4th degree is 1 year in jail. He's also charged with assault 2, which has a 10 year max, but if he's found guilty of both, assault 2 "merges" into sex assault 4, which means that his max penalty if he's found guilty of both is 1 year ( Read more... )

So at least one delegate in Maryland is shit-stirring on immigration.
