Adding to the list of classic shoe humorous real-life events, an Iraqi threw both of his shoes at Dubya on his last visit there as President. Kevin brought home our beautiful, 17 lb Diemand's turkey last night, and since we're having a very small dinner on Thanksgiving, I've cut it up into parts and frozen most of them to be enjoyed later. This weekend has been beautiful. I just love a long weekend right when the weather has been getting especially warm and the days long.

I was so pleased to get a visit today from my friends Sandhya (pickamuffin here on LJ) and Alex. They live a couple hours away so we only see them every few months or so.

Everyone is off today for the snow. I got in a good workout last night, and saw Alex while he was here for his date with Kevin, and enjoyed lots of cozy time last night, both alone and with loved ones.
