Liz and Eli were married last Sunday on the floor of the US Senate. (Actually the model Senate at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the Senate in Boston.) Was really great to be able to join them for the happy event.

I missed Jonathan Richmond's birthday party on Sunday because it conflicted with Mystery Hunt. Which is unfortunate. Eris had a good fourth birthday!

This weekend was a lot. Julie was so busy that it was the closest to solo parenting I've done while she was still in town. Did Saturday bedtime solo, and Eris was displeased about her mom's absence. Took a rather long Thanksgiving break home in Cleveland this past week. It was very relaxing. We met up with Dan and Anne and Isaac. Had a nice Thanksgiving meal at home. I took my mom for a birthday dinner, which I'm home for this year, due to the unusually late Thanksgiving.

Last weekend, the Somerville Marshmallow Fluff Festival was on Saturday. That was a lot of fun. The festivities were moved up a bit to the Bow Street block due to construction. A few weeks back, daycare was off for a week and we took the opportunity to visit my brother Solomon on Sanibel Island. Was a very lovely vacation, with beautiful scenery and good food (some home-cooked). We visited a local nature preserve, saw some dolphins in the wild on a wildlife cruise, and swam in the Gulf.
