On Friday night I got to head out with a bunch of friends to see Jonsi here in San Diego at 4th & B.

For those not familiar, Jonsi is the lead singer of a band called Sigur Ros.  They're a kind of symphonic ephemeral Icelandic collective who create some really wonderful music.

I'm sitting at my computer right now ripping music to mp3.  I feel like I've been here before.  Taking each CD I own and ripping it into mp3. I let my anal nature get the best of me.  I decided to re-rip my library through iTunes so I have consistent bitrates (320kbs) and so all the file IDs etc are the same.  Once I'm done I'm probably going to do ( Read more... )

Did an LJ tracker today for the first time in months and found that about 12 folks who had been following me had all deleted their journals.  Couple of 'em are folks I really hate to see leave LJ.  Also had a couple of folks remove me from their friends list and in both cases, well, I'm not surprised.  One of 'em gets bored with folks if they don't ( Read more... )
