Going to Chicago in my mind and going to LA for real real, and other sutff too
I thought it might make me a little nuts to hear from my friends in Chicago this weekend. Hearing about the fun, the abundance of sexy men, and all that sorta jizz. But it's actually been pretty cool. I'm enjoying my weekend here in SD and sluggobear has been sending me pictures of cute boys (of which I have a crush on every one of) and lostncove has been keeping me up to date on his weekend as well. So it's nice to hear from the front lines and see my friends having good times. Even bnsd70 and pinner123 have been posting up. And yes, for the record I did tell Dave to fuck off last night at Top of the Park when he said he was leaving for Chicago this morning and I still stand by that. The only reason I can smile about the whole darn thing is because I was able to state for the record that everyone who went to Bear Pride/IML could go fuck themselves. But that sentiment comes from a place of love (and extreme jealously) so I hope y'all understand that I only want you to fuck yourselves because I can't be there to do it for you. See, I'm a nice guy after all. heheh
A lot of folks have been asking me about the job hunt but there isn't much to update people on really. I have a few options I'm thinking over and I'm pretty sure what my plan will be come July.
I'm fighting (and losing) the battle to go to bed before 2am each night and get up before 10am. It's so easy to slide back into vampire mode and I tell you - a bed just feels extra comfy at 9am.
Things that are coming up? Well, next weekend I'm going to go up to LA on Friday to say Happy Birthday to garycotti (don't tell him). He's turning 30. I'm gonna crash somewhere in LA that night and maybe bum around some on Saturday - foot rubs anyone? Then it's off to Bakersfield to see my Dad get ordained as an Episcopalian minister. Oh, I have new sermons from him too so I will probably be posting those before long. Not sure about Sunday. I'm tossing around the idea of going back to LA and maybe heading to the Eagle or the Faultline for their beer busts. LA folks - do y'all wanna hang out mayhap? See a movie or something? If I'm super inspired I might even bring a crap load of CDs and DVDs to sell at Amoeba.
The weekend after that Randy comes out and I'm gettin' real excited about his visit. Not sure what all we're gonna do but Bear Night and The Hole will probably be on the agenda. Maybe the zoo and perhaps Disney as well.
Speakin' of Disneyland, bearxxl and I might be going this week (Wednesday). If yer so inclined give a shout.
Okay - that's my Saturday. Ah, I might even stop in at Magic Mountain next week just to check out the new Terminator wood coaster. And I gotta head to the zoo now too to see the new elephant run. So much to do - glad I don't have a job to get in the way of it!
