So, Russian and Ukrainian are different languages to most people. Most people who know a little Russian and a little Ukrainian would have enough sense and presence of mind to remember to use Russian with Russians and Ukrainian with Ukrainians, especially if they had lived in the former USSR. There are still a lot of incredibly poor people here in Addis. And I still don't give them anywhere near the amount of money I should. I just got back from Russia. I'm going to Greece after this. I'm home! I'm at a home anyway :-) - I definitely kissed the ground when I arrived this morning. My time in Cairo wrapped up fairly well, I slept most of the flight from Cairo to Addis (I had a whole row to myself, thank God), the lost luggage people at Bole Airport seem to have it much more together than their counterparts in Cairo do, and Addis ( Read more... )
