Thank God I was able to go to Great Vespers at Holy Protection Church in Goshen. The day was a lovely one. I woke up far too early for someone who went to bed at 3am, but the outing to Winona Lake with the Churchs was very pleasant, as were lunch and dinner with them. I'm in Indiana! And it's fabulous. The Churchs really are family, even if we aren't technically related to them. I feel bad being here on the day that Evan gets back from the Sudan, but I guess it can't be helped. So, Russian and Ukrainian are different languages to most people. Most people who know a little Russian and a little Ukrainian would have enough sense and presence of mind to remember to use Russian with Russians and Ukrainian with Ukrainians, especially if they had lived in the former USSR. There are still a lot of incredibly poor people here in Addis. And I still don't give them anywhere near the amount of money I should. I just got back from Russia. I'm going to Greece after this.
