I got a phonecall last Thursday telling me that the selection day at Hoval will be on the 19th August, so I've started listening to German radio (Deutschlandfunk) streamed off the Internet, to get back into the whole German 'zone'. Hee hee, I have a cold: I'm 99% certain it's not swine 'flu because I don't feel like crap, don't have a temperature and despite only getting 4 hours sleep last night (due to cold), don't feel too tired. The fridge was off again this morning, and the milk was pretty sour. It'd probably have been cooler in one of the cupboards on the external walls. • Feeling like crap
• Not being able to do much coursework despite not being at work
• Not being able to go out and play in the snow/take pretty pictures

Plus Points for:

• Not having to get stuck in the snow and being able to take a few pictures
• Seeing friends

Attempted to create a network today, between the upstairs and downstairs computers: no luck. the upstairs (older) one was fine accepting everything, but then I had only just installed Windows XP on it. Today the maintenance bloke came to lay the bathroom and pantry lino and measure the kitchen for some. he also came to fix the plug, but didn't know how so he'll have a go next time, when he comes to fit the carpet in the front room and the kitchen lino ( Read more... )

Well, as I found out it was a junction box fault causing the phone to crackle and the broadband connection to die (I kicked it the other day on the phone to Dad and it just died), I got the spare junction box my uncle gave us ages ago with 15m or so of cable and just swapped the frontplates.
