1. Went on a weekend retreat with my dance troupe last weekend in Berkeley Springs, WVA. We snagged a sweet 4 bedroom cabin, about a half a mile off the paved road in woods full of pine trees and huge, lichen covered boulders. My current nightly routine: coloring while watching/listening to lynda.com videos on project management, then de-jewel-casing CDs and watching Daredevil. The dream is real, people.

Today towards the end of the work day I was thinking about how damn exhausted I was. Just rung out. I got a good amount of sleep last night, and even had a lovely dream where Tom Hiddleston showed up (no, we didn't make out, and yes, I had a stern conversation with my subconscious to step up the game next time, okay?).

This is going to be some personal reflection that was kicked off by the protests in Baltimore. It doesn't really have anything to do with the protests, at the moment I am feeling very overwhelmed, not so much by the response to injustice, but by figuring out my own place within this fight and now to support and participate in an appropriate way.
