I came down this morning and found that Santa had come! Jesse during the night brought in two bookcases and stuck a note on one saying, Happy birthday, Mum.  It's a week early and exactly what I need and want.  They are about 10 and 9 feet tall and about 3 feet wide and can hold 2-3 rows of books per shelf.  I already got them moved and covered in ( Read more... )

My daughter is in Paris right now.  I Skyped with her and she’s fine.  Hopefully she can get home with no problems when she’s done with school in two weeks.

On June 2nd Cody and I spent four hours at the church fireworks stand.  We stayed from 4-8 pm.  We gossiped with others, and read, and ate ice cream.  There was a kiddie pool to stick our feet into with a clump of ice floating in it for awhile.  It felt so good.  We didn't have any sales until just before we left.  Fireworks are expensive!

So last night Jules and I went to a new local bookstore. It's called Writer's Block. It's really cute and has a bunny and a very nice sales person. Unfortunately I didn't save any money buying my one book and the tea was high but I think I will still make a point of going back probably next month. Day 2 of girl's weekend:

Jules had a luncheon appointment and that left me time to do some cleaning and reading.  So that was good.
