The holidays are approaching. Where work is concerned that means that my schedule will get changed around a bit. For example, this week I work five days in a row. F-T. So last night around 3 pm I found out that I would be hosting a dinner party that same night. It meant 5 extra people over for dinner. My first sip of eggnog this year.  om nom nom.  I'm having eggnog and homemade sweet monkey bread for breakfast this morning.  A breakfast of champions!!

So they did not need me for jury duty.  I did not have to report in.  I'm very glad about that.  I tried to get a penpal via email but I think that fell through.  I'm very lonely.  I just want somebody to connect with and be able to talk to.  But I don't want pity.  I got bored reading today so I made an apple-pear crisp.  It's bubbling on my stove ( Read more... )

So I never posted about where I went a few days ago.  I went to the scifi center where they showed two free one hour movies.  We sat on folding chairs out in the parking lot and watched them flickering on a brick wall.  The first one was Teenagers from Outer Space and the second was Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman.
