Since there's been no rants here lately, yes, it's safe to say that life is mostly calm. I handed off my freelance project and they apparently were happy enough to give me an authorization to remit payment. :)  I've been stitching a lot and making progress on CdC. Ok, I'm doing better today. I think I just needed to have a meltdown, let it out, and now I'm picking myself back up again. That was hopefully the bottom of the cycle.

*happy dance* I have a new freelance client, one I'm quite excited about. I requested a small project to start, due to the new work hours, and they obliged. I don't start until Dec 15, which gives me time to get some stuff together, but apparently my interim clearance came through this morning. The clerance process will continue, btw, so anyone I talked to about it will still likely get a packet from the government in the next few months. You know the job I was all nervous about applying to yesterday? I have an interview on Thursday! Eep! I just made a haircut appt for tomorrow evening, since I really should do that before. We got our sample ballots yesterday, and the "public questions" have me totally boggled. Has anyone else in my home state tried to understand these things? Both are amendments to the state constitution, and they're so utterly full of clauses that I can't even figure out what the point of them is without reading the "interpretive statement."
