Approaching Calm

Sep 07, 2009 21:10

Since there's been no rants here lately, yes, it's safe to say that life is mostly calm. I handed off my freelance project and they apparently were happy enough to give me an authorization to remit payment. :)  I've been stitching a lot and making progress on CdC. Heck, I started excercising again! DH bought a Wii Fit, and, well, it's there and I'm playing with it. It'll do for now as I work my way back up to a real energy level. But note to self: don't do the jogging without first taking my inhaler.

I'm apparently nuts and have a proposal to make to the VP of the company I work for (she runs every day operations, afaik). So I did work a teensy bit this weekend to write that up neatly.

I crashed again today, though, since I tossed and turned all night last night. I *think* it was too much sugar at the bbq I went to. I couldn't help it; Manna made excellent cookies AND
karistan  made yummy peach cobbler. I was doomed! It meant I didn't get to play in B's D&D game, though, and I am sad.

So now, I'm off to stitch and relax before bed. One of the things I'm trying to do is get off the computer at least half an hour before bed, preferably longer. And, in general, I'm spending so much time at work in front of a computer (although not this week - this week it's more of the 300 pages of 12-column tables that I need to proof by hand, comparing old to new...) that I have very little interest in being on one at night. Very odd feeling.
