Victoria Day long weekend and everywhere is batshit with people bugging out of town to go camping as this is traditionally the first day of the year where it's warm enough for camping to not be an ordeal.  I made the mistake of going grocery shopping on Friday.  >.<

The boyfriend and I got back in one piece last night (unless you count the piece I took out of Colin's hide because he was pissed at waiting for the ferry and decided to take it out on all and sundry).  I did find something nice to wear - in the end I only needed to buy a plain skirt to go with one of my (very orange and yellow) tops.

The Men's Hockey game yesterday was tons of fun.  Finland wiped the floor with Belarus 5-1, but the Belorussians didn't make it easy for them!  The food at the arena was hideously expensive, but since we weren't allowed to leave once our tickets had been scanned there really wasn't much choice in the matter. In another couple hours the boyfriend and I will catch a greyhound bus down to Vancouver.  We're staying with Colin's aunt and uncle who don't have wireless so my online access will be limited in the next 5 days or so.  I'll keep you guys posted if I can and I'm taking my camera so I'm sure I'll have a ton of cool photos to upload when I get back. 

There's less than a week to go until Colin and I go to Vancouver for the Olympics!  It almost didn't seem quite real until now when I realize that, yes, it's actually happening.  I'm busy making some last minute preparations, getting our Greyhound bus tickets and getting my brother to pick up our mail while we're gone, etc.  It's a bit stressful ( Read more... )

I got Olympic tickets, I'm so happy!!!It took watching the Vancouver2010 site like a hawk all day long but I managed to score two seats for women's playoff hockey and two seats for curling.
