Live From Vancouver
The Men's Hockey game yesterday was tons of fun. Finland wiped the floor with Belarus 5-1, but the Belorussians didn't make it easy for them! The food at the arena was hideously expensive, but since we weren't allowed to leave once our tickets had been scanned there really wasn't much choice in the matter. There'll be pics of the game forthcoming when I get home - I wanted to download them now but I realized I'd forgotten to pack the cord. *headdesk*
Much of Downtown Vancouver has been closed off to traffic duing the day. Robsons Street was just packed with people and there were street performer at every intersection. There was this one guy who was doing a Harry Houdini escape act - it was pretty neat. There's also a bunch of free concerts and performances held all over the city. I just discovered that Sam Roberts will be doing a concert on the 19th! Squeeeeeeee!
