Today, I did a little.  Washed the tub and bath mat, so go me.  I kept up with the puzzles in the paper, which is good.  Last time, I had to excise all the crosswords and make-words out of a word and wound up doing about 15 crosswords in one go. I didn't stay up all night last night, but pretty near.  I'm about half way through Connelly's Blood Work.  I saw the movie several years ago, but it was quite memorable, so to some degree, I'm just reading the book as a refresher, and to get back story on other characters who will recur in subsequent novels ( Read more... )

I"m glad Michele is back from her visit.  She's been on vacation in Australia until today.  Work again and she started up The Everydays again.  I was so pleased to get back in the writing saddle again.  That layoff made me blow off my LJ, some.  I stayed up last night reading until about 4:30 in the morning and then finally got up around 11.  I ( Read more... )

Another challenging day.  I was as active as a gerbil for about four hours and then--phttt!  I'm reading book 3 of Michael Connelly's Bosch series.  Kept up on my written journal, worked out, shopped and then sank down on the couch.  Yeah.  Another thrilling day.  Skyped with Suzy.  Chatted with Kathy.  Politics is ugh.  Might have to re-engage.

Jim's car was trashed on Friday.  I finagled and he now has a newish car. 2007 Ford Focus with 51, 000 miles on it.  Total price with all the extra crap was $6087.  Gotta have a car to go where you want when you want in the valley.  It was demanding, but we got the job done.  He received two key fobs and promptly lost one of them.  Geez.  All the ( Read more... )
