I didn't stay up all night last night, but pretty near. I'm about half way through Connelly's Blood Work. I saw the movie several years ago, but it was quite memorable, so to some degree, I'm just reading the book as a refresher, and to get back story on other characters who will recur in subsequent novels.
When I got up, I reluctantly went to work out. Warren was back. Turns out he had a two month sabbatical because his nephew in Georgia had been murdered. He got a lot of condolences from Lynn and me and a hug or two as well. Painful. But good to see him again. I had a good work out. It looks like Lynn's tiny boxing training session will happen tomorrow afternoon. Good for her.
I went to the Grocery Outlet for yogurt, but there was none. Picked up a few items, then on to Safeway for beverages and sandwich cheese slices. After that, Walmart for a big pail of laundry detergent and cookies and cherry pomegranate drink mix for Andrew.
Home after that to crash. I took time out to read the latest Trump travesties, then sank lower and lower under the covers on the couch until the voices on the television lulled me to sleep.
I'm thinking of getting an early start tomorrow. I plan to set up an appointment to get my brother's income taxes done at the senior center. The more I think about it, the more I realize that in the absence of some of his driver's license, it would be better if a professional helped me through the niceties of filing and electing Sima as his beneficiary.
I may have a cup of coffee tomorrow. How's that for daring?
