I think I'm going to have to retrain Barbie into crating. This overnight toilet training is still hit and miss, and after last night, I have a sneaking suspicion that Barbie is not crying cos she needs to go out and go to the toilet, she is doing it because often I would get up at 5am and let them out and then let them snuggle in bed with me. I emailed Billy's Daycare for some details about their training courses. I have decided that I can only learn so much about dog training from books, and I need a mentor. Most importantly Barbie needs to be trained in different environments. Also, Billy's is a 600 sqm indoor property with no cages which will be a nice, safe place for us to work on ( Read more... )

I've decided to buy a new rear wheel for the LHT. I'm getting a Mavic/Alivio from Wiggle for $80 or so. It's not the most heavy duty wheel, but I am not a heavy rider, and so I expect my gear to last longer than gear for a 100kg dude. Well, we went to meet Barbie at her foster home on Sunday, and took her home for her trial. She got along with Bender very well in her own territory, and then when we bought them home, he tried to hump her a few times.
