Spent most of Monday and Tuesday nights painting.  They are looking good, it just takes a while to do six copies of everything. I will most likely be spending most of tonight and tomorrow night painting as well, but then I should be able to move on to other projects. Thursday night was very full, but a good one.  I did some template cutting for a side job, and did a powder coated steampunk crest  on a breast-plate for Ravenworks. That led up until almost bedtime, but I managed to make the most out of relaxing before sleep.

Got the cabinet top assembled and installed. Made good progress on the moving last week. Treadmill and weight machine moved from the basement to the studio, and 2 stacks of flat files, the work table, a few bookcases, tubs of things and more moved from the studio to the basement.  Most everything else in the back part of the studio moved to the front room, and large portions of the garage ( Read more... )

Busy two weeks, but they have been survived, and even enjoyed.  CVG was a little less social than previous years, but the sleep was good. Then a day of leatherworking at home (finishing up a belt and belt pouch), two days of work, and off to a semi-camping event.  We had merchant and storage tent on site, and then walked 2 blocks to the high end ( Read more... )

Last week was busy and productive. Tuesday evening I spent in the garage making some jigs for the KDS project, Wednesday I pulled a bunch of weeds that were running amuck behind the garage and behind the hot tub. Last Monday I did get the trailer un-loaded and the tools mostly arranged. Tuesday morning I did get the Argon refill and stainless filler rod, and did some stainless welding after dinner. Tuesday night I spent arranging and finding things in the garage, Wednesday I did make it to practice, but not in armor. Still managed to leave with more than I went with and broken at that. Kilt selling went well over the Memorial day weekend, and I even had time to expand my thoughts on my KDS ventures and give myself a deadline to 'ship' something. Thursday night I mowed the lawn and then did the photoshoot for the pauldron. Pictures should be up and in galleries in the next few days. Friday I ran an errand to Menards for a dimmer switch and a few other things in preparation for the weekend.
