Busy two weeks, but they have been survived, and even enjoyed. CVG was a little less social than previous years, but the sleep was good. Then a day of leatherworking at home (finishing up a belt and belt pouch), two days of work, and off to a semi-camping event. We had merchant and storage tent on site, and then walked 2 blocks to the high end encampment (hotel). I didn't manage to make it to the heavy, thrown, or archery fields to participate; but I did manage to relax, get more ideas on tents, and forge a knife. Weather permitting I'm hoping to actually do a camping SCA event the second weekend of August, before spending the winter trying to work out and arrange a full camping setup for next year.
Got home just before noon yesterday and unloaded and unpacked everything, then proceeded to do some cleanup around the house that wasn't done before leaving. I now have about a week and a half to work on my things and make more progress before the next PK show. Tonight I hope to get the welding and cleanup done on the wine rack. Tomorrow is a possible date-night with
alyska , Wednesday is fighter practice. Thursday and Friday evenings along with Saturday all day are available to get the powder spray booth straightened out and setup.
Now, it is off to run a couple of errands and grab some food, as I didn't manage to pack a lunch this morning before heading out to work.
