Today at the library, someone came in wearing a winter coat and insulated gloves! Granted, it's a bit cooler than the last few days, but seriously. Either this guy was autistic or was born in freakin' death valley and cannot stand temperatures lower than 120. Freak.

Good news: Yesterday a couple cute Asian girls said I looked like a movie star.
Bad news: They were about Six or eight years old, and the movie star they said I looked like was Jack Black.

Today was a historic event at the library. Whenever someone asks me how many items they can check out, I tell them that there is no real limit. There is, but the limit is 100 book total! I once wrote about how a homeless woman peed on one of our library chairs. A week or so ago, someone crapped in our garage. So about a month ago. the word was sent out in my library for volunteers to read stories to children. I asked for more information, and apparently they took that as a request to read, so they put me on the list. Ok, fine, but they didn't tell me the books that I'm reading until today. I worked on Sunday, and I was uneventful, except for one patron. A cop came in and asked us if the tax forms that we have on display were the only ones we have. Yesterday I had to go to a "Transgender Awareness" discussion at work. My library got a $3,000 grant for some organization, and one of the conditions was that every employee had to take the class. So I'm working at the library today, and a patron comes in and sits down in one of our chairs. Now, she's clearly homeless, as she really dirty looking, and is carrying a bunch of bags with her.
