Reading to children

So about a month ago. the word was sent out in my library for volunteers to read stories to children. I asked for more information, and apparently they took that as a request to read, so they put me on the list. Ok, fine, but they didn't tell me the books that I'm reading until today. Well, I finally got them, and I must say, I can't really object
