I made a delicious turkey dinner today.  It was exactly what I wanted and my boys seemed to enjoy it, too.  A bowl of orange sherbet for dessert and I'm still under 1800 calories for the day.  :D  I've been doing really, really well with that.  I have to be careful to not become too obsessive, but journaling food really helps me keep my eating ( Read more... )

They're huge monsters now!  They were nine months old on September 28.  Here you go, Heidi!

We picked up our puppies from the vet yesterday afternoon and they seemed close to their regular selves! I expected them to act pitiful and lay around, but nope. As soon as I lifted Madeline down from the cage, she started trying to drink the vet's mopwater, get into the food that was on a nearby shelf and just generally be nosy. :D They may be ( Read more... )

Our testing is finally over.  It seems like we've tested forever.  I honestly don't mind it - I almost like it because I have to do very little on those days and I get a lot of other things caught up.  I don't like the part where I see them take the math test and get things wrong and I don't like the part where we get the results back, but the rest ( Read more... )

Today was a good day.  It's nice and warm - 80 today! - and I love it.  Summer's on its way!  We grilled out this evening and dad and his girlfriend came over to eat.  It was super yummy.

I cleaned the puppies' kennel out early in the afternoon and we took them for a walk this evening after supper.  It's so fun!  They love when we run with them and ( Read more... )

Ahh, the end of another snow day.  I didn't want another snow day, but I've enjoyed it nonetheless.  Nothing else to do but, right?!    I've just pittled around, cleaning around the door and adding rugs to help combat the winter mess our shoes make, done a couple loads of laundry, a load of dishes and that kind of thing.  We watched  Forrest Gump ( Read more... )
