11/19/09 :: Smoke and Lea interact on the journals for the first time. Smoke teases him for his name and finds out Lea has already heard of him from Cheers/Sumeragi. Smoke figures out that Lea has a sense of humor* and that he knows Lea's sister, Kagerou/Orihime. They hope to meet up at Smoke's bar-rebuilding-party, and so began a beautiful bromance. [1]
*but use of the word "sarchasm" goes right over Smoke's head.
11/12/09 :: During another bout of Revolving Reveries, Lea dreams about being a dead female lawyer and craving cheeseburgers. The closest comparison Smoke knows is Medium. Also zombies. [2] 11/19/09 :: During Smoke's Rebuilding Party, Lea stops by to meet Smoke in person and help out a little. Smoke also runs down some basics about getting lost, memory crystals, pissing off the tree, and being reborn after the fires. It's a bit of a redhead party when Juliet joins the thread. [3] 12/14/09 :: Lea tastes like sea-salt ice cream and Smoke explains how it's one of the less embarrassing things to happen in the sphere. For one thing, hair can go pink. [4] 12/21/09 :: Smoke receives a memory crystal and asks Lea and Kagerou if they'd like to see him use it, as he needs a break from rebuilding the bar and expects entertaining results. [5] When the siblings arrive, they also find Smoke still healing from the fight on Crystala. Wookie hysterics ensue. [6] 01/12/10 :: Lea is locked out of his house and Smoke offers to let him stay in the back room - specifically because he'd like to use a memory crystal and Smoke has warned him of some of the possible effects, plus Lea's seen another (Wookie). Lea offers plate-spinning tricks as payment. [7] 01/18/10 :: (19th?) Lea got lost in the Wilderness when it shifted into "downtown Hell" (Mordor) and Smoke is only worried at first. Lea asks about the break room again for his memory crystal and Smoke agree, making lighthearted conversation. [8] However, it quickly becomes apparent that there are bad things down there and a team is assembling to rescue him - Toushi, Kazahana, and Kiba. [9] Smoke joins and THE REDHEAD SQUAD (+Kazahana) is born, fighting orcs & taking down an oliphant. [10] Lea discovers his weapons and Smoke is fairly impressed. 01/25/10 :: Lea unintentionally transports Smoke to the jail during a game of Cops & Robbers, after using a memory crystal where he turned into a clown, so Smoke and Lea never get to talk about what Lea saw. [11] They chat over the journals while Smoke is stuck, reviewing memory crystal punishments and Smoke allows Lea to hole up in the backroom for a little while - thinking the punishment wouldn't last long. [12] 01/26/10 :: Lea is still stuck as a clown as a memory crystal punishment, so Smoke advises him to prepare for the punishment to last a week, and Lea is allowed to stay at the bar for that indeterminate amount of time. [13]
08/10/10 :: Late evening - Smoke's first day returned to Edensphere, he looks at the bar from down the street with fondness and lost in revery. Lea finds him, punches him, and cusses him out... in an affectionate way. It makes it clear to Smoke that Lea missed him. They go on to talk about things Smoke missed and why he thinks he went missing in the first place. [15] 08/16/10 :: Smoke and Lea go from talking about a dog print, to unicorns and de-unicorning unicorns, the likely combustion as a result, the cool band name Unicorns On Fire, and that they should play Rock Band sometime. Oh and Aniki/Ganju turned into a dog. [16] 08/21/10 :: Smoke and Lea commiserate over their respective body-swaps. Smoke has become Kanzeon-bosatsu (The Merciful God/dess and a hermaphrodite) while Lea has become Mickey Mouse (complete with Roxas' keyblade.) [17] 08/27/10 :: Lea decides to take Smoke up on his offer to train by going to Crystala. There, they kick a few golem butts with the combined powers of fire and chain. [18] 09/07/10 :: Lea mentions establishing the Gingers Club as a legitimate group and wants suggestions for what their goals would be. Despite a tangent to Christmas and parties, Smoke eventually suggests to Lea that the Gingers take over the next Bachelor/Bachelorette auction and rank people by how attractive they are to the Gingers - meaning personality counts. [19] 09/08/10 :: Morning - Smoke introduces Lea via journals to Aniki's new pet - a male rappig named Suzy. Lea remarks that the poor thing should be put out of its misery for that name, and Smoke reminds Lea that he doesn't have room to talk. Lea's retort of "Get bent" leads to Smoke gloating about his playboy ways. They always manage to tangent like this -- see the "Unicorns on fire" remarks and link #21 for more evidence. [20] 09/08/10 :: Afternoon - Smoke teases Kagerou about her Gooseberry imp meddling in her social life, which doesn't make Lea a very happy brother. They spat about teenage life, but no real grudges held. Just very different opinions. Smoke does try to make it clear to Lea he has Kagerou's best interests at heart. [21] 09/10/10 :: Smoke challenges Dash to a Guitar Hero competition along with Lea. [22] He also suggests that it should become a regular thing. [23]
