Summary: Lea drops by Smoke's to take his memory crystal for a spin. He's not terribly pleased by the repercussions.
------
Lea didn't think he would look good in fur, so he really hoped that whatever the punishment his crystal chose to inflict upon him for getting a memory back would not involve fur. But at least it seemed this was pretty par for the course, so if he did end up wearing a grass skirt or with a mystical third eye in the middle of his forehead or whatever other manner of consequence the sadistic sphere he now lived in came up with, he probably wouldn't get too boggled at.
Maybe.
Maybe it would be better to just hide in Smoke's storeroom until it went away. He'd left Kagerou a note, since she'd run out to the store to get something for dinner; she would worry otherwise. It was kind of nice, he mused, to know that someone would miss him if he didn't go home. Something about that sensation resonated somewhere in his chest, like an echo reverberating off his ribs, and it wasn't quite uncomfortable, but it was definitely strange. Eh, maybe it was just the hot dog he'd eaten for lunch.
Either way, Lea headed up to the door of the bar, the crystal in his pocket, and tried the door. Finding it unlocked--ah, good, he was expected--he pushed it open with a creak. Poking his head inside, he spotted Smoke behind the bar, fiddling with some of the beer tankards as he prepared for opening, and he lifted one hand in a casual wave as he let the door swing closed behind him.
"I hope you don't charge a cover," he quipped, tossing the crystal up in the air and catching it in his palm. "'Cuz I'm a little short on cash, but I have been working on my plate-spinning."
