IMB/IBB 2013: Reveals
Better late than never, right? But still, it's not an excuse for the lateness of this post and both give you our deepest apologies for not respecting the deadlines we ourselves fixed and for letting you, authors and readers, down.
We have received a few complains about how we handled things and in a weird way, we appreciated it. Appreciated it because it showed that you cared for dashidorawa and the writing projects we organize.
Honestly, we don't have any excuse that you may find "valid" but we are both in our mid-twenties and working hard. Moderating dashidorawa is fun but managing a fanworks community online doesn't pay for our education, doesn't give us good grades and doesn't pay our bills. We let our real life responsibilities overwhelm us and we can't apologize for this but we can apologize for the way we handled things and that's what we are doing.
We could have asked a friend to post the reveals for us but since there is two of us, it is hard to find someone we both trust. We could have looked for a third mod but we agreed it was useless, especially with the activity on the community winding down.
We also want to clear up a few things: we will remove the blacklist rule for infinite minibang/bigbang because nothing is at stake if you drop out (and so that rule may be a bit too much) but we want to point out that this rule was merely there so people would be serious about signing-up and dropping-out and would really consider their decision of signing-up/dropping-out. We never blacklisted anybody and indeed, always worked with people to find solutions for them (be it extensions or such).
We are also aware that some people are iffy about signing-up for the upcoming Infinite Secret Santa based on how we handled things here. We can't blame you and we respect your decision. We are hoping to regain your trust and are thankful towards the ones who will sign-up for this Christmas exchange.
