Infinite Bigbang: 2014!
Welcome to dashidorawa's 2014 minibang/bigbang!
Our annual minibang/bigbang is upon us! Just like last year, you'll get to choose which one you want to sign up for.
The main objective of the contest is for writers to produce a fic with a minimum length of 10,000 words (10k) or 5,000 (5k) in the case of minibang.
Sign-ups will begin now and will go on until April 1, 2014. As soon as you sign up, you can begin writing!
Of course, just because the minimum is 5,000/10,000 words doesn't mean you can't go above and beyond!
Rules
1. Stories must have a minimum length of 5,000 or 10,000 words depending of your choice. There is no maximum length.
2. Pairings for stories must involve at least one Infinite member! This means crossover pairings are allowed (ex. Woohyun/Key) this year. Also, stories can be gen, meaning there is no pairing as long as the story revolves around Infinite or an Infinite member.
3. All entries, with complete HTML formatting intact, will be sent to the dashidorawa mod email address, comebackmods@gmail.com.
4. AUs are allowed.
5. Stories, as much as possible, must be beta'd.
6. This year, we will allow you to switch from mini to bigbang (and vice versa) without a deadline. So if you feel you cannot reach the bigbang goal of 10k, but you have at least 5k, you can still send us an email and let us know. And likewise, if your muse has blessed you, and you're writing more than 10k after signing up for the minibang, let us know! We'd be more than happy to switch you to the bigbang category (or you could stay in the minibang category and be a big fish in a little pond).
Deadlines and Other details
Sign ups will be open until April 1, 2014.
The first draft (minimum of 2,500 words or 4,000 words depending of your category) must be completed and turned in (with a summary and working title, may or may not be betaed yet) by May 4, 2014. We will send an email with the heading for your fic a week before the first draft is due. Your final draft must be turned in by June 08, 2014.
It is ideal that your fic has already been proofread by your beta by the time you submit it, but if you're pretty confident that you can proofread your own work, then it's okay to not have a beta.

** NOTE: For the deadlines, as long as it is the same day is your timezone, you can still sign-up/send your fic.
FAQ
● How do I send you my fic?
You send it to the dashidorawa mod email address, comebackmods@gmail.com by attaching a file to the email you're sending.
● Which format should I pick for my file?
Preferably .doc/.docx or .txt but if it's any trouble, just send the format that works for you. We will contact you if we can't open it. You can also link us to your gdoc (google document) if that works best for you.
● What does "with complete HTML formatting intact" mean?
It means that you need to format your fic (e.g. center your text, bold, italics, ...) yourself by putting the right html codes in your file before sending it to us. For more informations about formatting, click here.
● Why do I have to give a rough idea of what I will write?
We are convinced that if you have an idea or even a rough prompt of what you want to write for this challenge, it will be easier to start and there are less chance of you (and members generally) dropping out.
Signing-up without thinking this through may lead to having no idea/inspiration during the upcoming weeks and hence, being obligated to drop out. We want to avoid that and we hope you understand.
● Do I have to absolutely write that idea/pairing?
No! Of course not. You are free to change the pairing/plot of your fic as much as you want and don't have to let us know. We just want to be sure you have a starting idea when you sign-up but what you do with it (either writing or discarding it) is your choice and yours only.
● I don't want to share my prompt with people...
Don't worry, comments are screened so only the mods are going to read your prompt.
● Do I have to wait till April 1st to start writing?
Not at all, once you have signed-up, you're set and can start writing immediately if you want to!
