My plan today was to hit the oven and bake cookies all day!

Well, I woke up with a nasty cold & congestion, so I took 2 Tylenol cold & flu... on an empty stomach! For me, I can't do that.  So for several hours, I laid on the couch with horrible stomach cramps, even though I ate some oatmeal & a glass of milk.  Didn't help much.

So Kelly & Stanley were two of about 500 service members & family members invited to the White House for an informal dinner (buffet style), personal greeting and tour of the West Wing, as well as the fireworks on the 4th, right?

Well apparently the Obama's felt no need to be amongst their fellow government employees.

Stanley was chosen from his division  by his HM2 to attend an event at the White House on the 4th.

They get to tour the West Wing (which is normally off limits to regular WH tours);
Meet the President & Mrs. Obama;
Have dinner with them;
Attend the concert & fireworks on the South Portico.

What a great day that will be!
