I am at war with Ipomoea alba which is taking over North Vancouver, and from there, the world. From what I can tell, in it's natural habitat in the temperate areas of South America, it does well and contributes to the production of Mesoamerican ( Read more... )

My organic starter mix is aliiiiiive! I was putting it into the trays and out popped a spider and then later on, a worm. I figure this is a good sign regarding the quality of my not-dirt if there are things happily living in it. I put the worm into the landlord's garden but left the spider to fend for herself ( Read more... )

I got some packs of seeds today and also discovered a cache of abandoned plastic pots which will be raided by me tomorrow. Which is good because I really didn't want to pay for those things ( Read more... )
