Reporting in after a successful day of watching Steph watch Firefly and doing a little bit of gardening.
I am at war with
Ipomoea alba which is taking over North Vancouver, and from there, the world. From what I can tell, in it's natural habitat in the temperate areas of South America, it does well and contributes to the production of Mesoamerican rubber balls, but here it does nothing useful except take over my rockwall. And I'm not going to take it any longer.
Power to the people who don the gardening gloves of glory and wield the clippers of destruction. (It's actually quite fun to be this destructive.)
Also, if anyone on my list lives in the area and homeschools and you happen to be looking for one of those "Look at the diversity of creepy crawly nature things that live here." I'll offer up my backyard fir educational trips. In the space of 5 minutes, I saw at least 5-6 species of spider and a bazillion other crawly things.
Other than that, I haven't gotten nearly enough stuff done on this vacation.
