I couldn't reach H by phone Friday or Saturday.  She called me today.  She's staying with Aunt R until Wednesday!  Argh!  I need to squeeze that sturdy little body!  She misses mom-hugs too.  We shall have a hugfest.

More bike madness. I took A's and H's in for repairs. H's is actually too small for her now. It used to be too big! So I bought another they recommended for her age,with gears. The ex is supposed to get out of the hospital tomorrow. I still need to take the kids to school in the morning at least. I've been busy and it's nice. Today after I took the kids to school I went strait downtown to look at the bike shop R recommended. I found a parking place very near and picked out a bike for Y. When I went to the library the other day, I was told my year's subscription was almost over. What a surprise! A year has passed. I remember how desperate and defiant I felt when I paid for the subscription--not knowing where I would be living or how much money I would have in the coming year. I did call my sis. Not on her birthday. Why do I have to be so typically me? She had gone to bed early in hopes of foiling the flu going around there. We talked forever. It was cool.
