The ex is supposed to get out of the hospital tomorrow. I still need to take the kids to school in the morning at least. Ya thinks that I will continue even though the ex will be out, because he will still be weak. We'll see. At any rate I hope to take the bikes in to get them repaired right after taking the kids to school. Then if I don't have more time with the car, I'll have to figure out how to get them back home.

Friday I bought some seedlings (for the most part), soil, and compost. We potted a few things--I got some clay pots too. Other things I still need to decide where to plant. I need to work on larger yard issues before I plant some of them. But that's okay, this way they'll get used to our light here while they are still in their own pots.

The head of the boys' school snagged me when I went to pick them up Friday, and asked about our Shabbat observance. I readily admitted that it pretty much doesn't exist anymore. So we discussed the problems with it (the influence of the extended family) and agreed to try to influence a change. I did fairly well, relatively speaking. I was late getting ready and gave into temptation before it was over, but really not bad. A is so influenced by his cousins that he was very verbally opposed to keeping Shabbat. Y seemed to be pleased.
