Vacation was great. We spent a few days doing stuff and a few days doing not much at all. I got quite a few pictures (though somehow, despite taking 200+ I still didn't get pics of some stuff I meant to). So with futher ado I present the pix.

Today we return to the cold that is the north in winter.  I'm torn.   I will miss the beautiful weather here but I will love seeing my babies (what can I say - I went to the Hemingway House to see and scritch the kitties ( Read more... )

Today we leave.   Tomorrow we get to go to a holiday party at a 100 year old house on a key you can only reach by boat.   Monday and Tuesday we will be in Key West.   Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we will be in central Florida.  Friday night we find ourselves back in the middle keys for a another holiday party.  Saturday we come back home.  It ( Read more... )

My vacation starts at the end of the workday today.  Why is time moving so slow?

In two more days we leave for Florida... 

Friday night we watched Meet the Robinsons because the normal SciFi Friday lineup was on hiatus.  It was actually kinda fun but I can see where the critics wouldn't like it much - too kiddie for adults and too adult for kids.

 I've been meaning to post for a while, especially since New Years, and just haven't found the time.  I'm home sick with a cold so I guess I have the time.

I am sick.  It started two days ago.  My head feels like a basketball.  I'm all stuffy and sneezing and coughing.  I am also achey and running a fever.

That's what the locals call Key West and today the name really applied.   The day started out rainy so we figured we would go there because we could do indoor stuff.  As it turns out it rained most of the day on the upper keys but it cleared up around 11:00 in Key West, which brought out everybody for "Fantasy Fest".   The fashion police so needed ( Read more... )
