I had a great time but it's good to be home.
The trip home was relatively painless. Getting to the airport was as fun as it was last year. The entire Miami airport area is going through road work AND the whole place is labeled badly to begin with. Last year we had a hard time finding the rental return place in the dark. In the daylight I was able to figure out that more then one "turn here" direction sign was placed on the far side of the intersection you were already have suppossed to turn on. I wish I were exaggerating but I am not. There was a problem with one of the flight reservations but we didn't have to go from counter to counter to get it fixed. The TSA guy at Miami recognized my thin white oxford shirt as a shirt and not a jacket (the Philly TSA guy on the way down did not and made me put in through the x-ray). Last but not least the guy in the seat next to me was rather slight in frame so I didn't need to worry about him spilling over to my seat (which I really hate).
The bags are unpacked and my laundry is almost done. As always I packed too much and had plenty of clean stuff when I got back . I keep on telling myself that it's justified because it all fit in one bag so I had to fill the bag right? My one roomie liked the present I found for him. It's a wire sculpture of a motorcycle. This is the second time I have hit gold on a gift for him - which is funny because I thought I wold have a hard time finding anything appropriate for him. As he is the one who takes care of my babies while I am away I always want to find him something nice as a thank you. I also gave him a little "Mile 0" sticker which he intends to put on his bike. The other roomie was still out when I went to bed so I don't know if he likes his new coffee mug. My mother likes her Key Largo t-shirt.
Relaxing is the word of the day. I intend to do a few small errands but aside from that I will be sitting on my ass and watching TV - and taking a nice long, hot bath in the claw foot tub. I missed my bathtub.
